CVC Year Round Event - Ocean Shores Bayside Walk Event: Ocean Shores Bayside Walk ESVA Challenges: 39 Counties Second Edition (Grays Harbor), Frontline Heroes AVA Special Programs: None provided AVA Sanction#/Distance/Rating: 125556 - 2024 / Y0004 - 10K with 5K, 12K, and 21K options, all rated 1A Description: The City of Ocean Shores occupies the Point Brown Peninsula on the Washington coast. Walk through developed and undeveloped areas of Ocean Shores pausing at several of the city parks (some with restrooms and picnic areas) with views up and down Duck Lake, and along the North Bay. The simple parks and viewpoints can add up to a surprisingly delightful and relaxing walk. Picnics are great in warm weather. Carry water. Restrooms are listed on the walk directions for each distance. Start/Finish Times: January 4 - December 30, 6:00 AM to Dusk. The start point may be closed on Christmas. Accessibility/Amenities: Possible for strollers and wheelchairs. Pets are allowed subject to local leash and cleanup laws. Restrooms are at the start point and in a few locations en route. Registration: This event has both an Online Start Box (OSB) and a Physical Start Box (PSB). You may register using either of these, but please complete the walk using the same method used to register to receive proper credit. To register using the OSB, go to AVA Login and follow the prompts. To register using the PSB, follow the directions below: Start/End Location: Ocean Shores IGA, at 101 E Chance-A-La-Mer NE in Ocean Shores. Driving Directions: From I-5 at Olympia (both Northbound and Southbound), take Exit #104 (US Highway 101). Follow Ocean Beaches signs west to Ocean Shores through Aberdeen and Hoquiam. The entrance to Ocean Shores is Point Brown Ave. Turn Left on Chance-A-La-Mer at first STOP sign. The Ocean Shores IGA is on your right.
