Description: Lacey was originally called Woodland after settlers Isaac and Catherine Wood, who claimed land there in 1853. The small settlements of Woodland and Chambers Creek consolidated into Lacey in the 1950s. Walk explores, St. Martin University campus, along a paved trail to a lake and surrounding area. 5K takes you by a lake and community park and through the historic area of Lacey. 20K takes you through the Lacey business district, Panorama City and Wonderwood Park.

Start/Finish Times: Daily - 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Accessibility/Amenities: Not possible for strollers or wheelchairs. Pets are NOT allowed on the grounds of St. Martin's College (a recent change, as they have been in the past), although they are allowed on the other parts of the walk. Restrooms are at the start point and in various locations en route.

Registration: This event has both an Online Start Box (OSB) and a Physical Start Box (PSB). You may register using either of these, but please complete the walk using the same method used to register to receive proper credit.

Start/End Location: Safeway Food & Drug, at 6200 Pacific Ave. SE, Lacey

Driving Directions: From I-5 Northbound and Southbound: Take Exit 109. Northbound: Turn RIGHT on Martin way. Southbound: Turn LEFT on Martin Way. Continue east on Martin Way to Carpenter Road, then turn RIGHT. Safeway is on the LEFT at the NE corner of Carpenter Rd. and Pacific Ave.
