AVA Sanction#/Distance/Rating: 106766 2017/Y0941 - 10K, 13K and 15K options, both rated 3C; 5K option, rated 2A

Dates: May 1 to October 31 (This walk will be VERY muddy during the rainy season, and the state park may be closed).

Description: Walk a bit around town, past the city park that has seen many festivals and the clock tower/dome of the county seat, which has very old, beautifully done murals inside. Then enjoy the peaceful setting of Lake Sylvia State Park for a hike/walk-about, and maybe camp for the weekend? The trail loops in a near figure 8 and ends up back in town on a route that many locals don't even know about. Enjoy the berries in season and wear boots if we've had rain. 5K rated 2A, 10K, 13K & 15K rated 2C. Shade is sparse for the last 3K of the 15, for those wanting to see the cemetery, so if hot weather, consider doing this early in the day.
